Inconvienent Truth
I do not agree with Al Gore's position in Inconvienent Truth. I understand his point of view in that he is concerned with the future of the earth and longevity of the environment but personally through my own research and study ( I wrote a paper on Global Warming earlier in the semester) I believe that Co2 emissions have a minimal role in the earth's slight temperature rise. On the contrary I think the earth is going through a natural warming trend as research has shown it has multiple times in the past.
"Dna tests give students ethnic shocks"
I agree with the author's of this article in their position that knowing what percentage of ethnicity they were wouldn't change they way they act or felt. It would be great to know exactly what percentage of each ethnicity I am, but if i found something suprising i'm not going to look at myself differently and I definitly wouldn't expect anyone else to look at me differently either. Your dna make up doesn't make you what type of person you are, biologically yes but the way you act and feel is all up to you.

"Facebook, why I hate it"
While reading this article I couldn't help but relate to almost everything the author spoke of. I laughed and thought to myself , " I do that too" many ocassions throughout the reading. Facebook is such an influential social tool in our modern world. It allows people to be constantly interconnected with one another and provides a perfect place for people to meet and interact with eachother without actaully having to speak face to face. Facebook is great, for these reasons and more but at the same time Facebook can become way too involved with your life and actually take away from your real life interaction with people, rather than your cyber one. I can relate to the author of the articl in saying that you become so wrapped up in the constant stimuli of friend requests, comments and picture posts that you find yourself checking your facebook every chance you get during the day. Starting off more as a hobby and ending up as an obsession. Don't get me wrong I love facebook , it is great; but I most definitly spend way too much time on the site rather than spending time on other more constructive things I could be doing such as schoolwork.
